AccuQuilt Qube Quick Reference Guide 2.0 Now Available

The All New AccuQuilt Qube Quick Reference Guide 2.0 is now available! I am very excited to share this updated edition of my very popular AccuQuilt Qube Quick Reference Guide and have included some great updates.

The Quick Reference Guide contains all the information you need at your fingertips for every available Qube to use when designing, cutting and sewing your Qube blocks to make a beautiful quilt.

First, I have added all of the quick reference for the 16″ Qube. So now you have the 4″, 5″, 6″, 8″, 9″, 10″, 12″, and the 16″ information all available in one place.

Each Qube has detailed information on all of the Mix & Match Shapes. including a visual reference on how the shapes fit together. There is a diagram of the shape, the size and SKU number for each shape, and new in this edition – GO! dies sold separately that are equivalent to the Qube shapes. We still have our information for cutting the shapes including strip size, fan fold information, number of shapes on a strip and number of shapes on the die along with helpful information for cutting the shapes.

And of course, all of the same great information is available for the Companion Angles Shapes and Companion Corners Shapes as well.

A brand new BONUS in this edition is a list of GO! Dies that were sold separately that are equivalent to the Qube shapes that are available. If you have some of the earlier value dies, individual dies or dies that come in multiples, this list will help you figure out what matches with the Qube shapes.

We still have the BONUS Grid information for designing more than four patch blocks, this allows you to expand your Qube to create nine patch, five patch , sixteen patch and more blocks. This reference page provides you with the sizes that the Qube will create when you expand the grid to create even more great blocks with your dies.

Finally, we have an updated BONUS strip cutter guide. I use a lot of strips combined with my Qube blocks for borders, sashing and binding. It is a great resource when figuring out your quilt and fabric requirements.

This complete AccuQuilt Qube Quick Reference Guide is available as a PDF file ready for download in my Etsy Shop.

2025-2026 Block of the Month – Points of Interest

I have a new Block of the Month (BOM) that I wanted to share called Points of Interest. I designed this quilt once again for American Patchwork and Quilting magazine for 2025-2026. This beautiful quilt Is designed to look like one giant quilt block in beautiful hues of blue and green.

This BOM is in full swing and it is not too late to join in. Patterns for the blocks are available FREE on the All People Quilt Website.

And the best part, you can choose from either Rotary cutting OR AccuQuilt cutting directions, so everyone can participate.

This quilt finishes at 64 1/2″ X 80 1/2″. I used the Texture collection by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs. They are a lovely set of blenders. The All People Quilt website has all of the fabric requirements and instructions. Remember, those Instructions will be included for traditional Rotary Cutting AND for AccuQuilt Cutting.

If you are using AccuQuilt die cutting, you will need the following dies:

    • 55776 GO! Qube Mix & Match 8″ Block
    • 55785 GO! Qube 8″ Companion Set – Corners
    • 55789 GO! Qube 8″ Companion Set – Angles
    • 55650 GO! Qube 16″ Block Shape 1 or 55058 GO! Square 8 1/2″
    • 55650 GO! Qube 16″ Block Shape 3 or 55400 GO! Half Square Triangle 8″ Finished (discontinued)
    • 55017 Strip Cutter 2 1/2″ (2″ Finished) (Optional)
    points of interest

This quilt uses the 8″ Qube to make the quilt top. The blocks are 8″ square. But of course I had to try something different, so I am using the 4″ Qube to make a mini version of the quilt. You can see my progress for the first four blocks above.

This quilt might look complicated but the individual blocks are easy to piece and sew together.

This quilt was designed with EQ8 Quilt Design Software. It is my go to tool for designing beautiful quilts. Electric Quilt is offering the project file for this quilt for free to use with EQ8 Quilt Design Software. You can color and design your own version of the quilt. You can find it HERE!

I hope you will join me on this Block of the Month and share your versions of the Quilt on the American and Patchwork Quilting Block of the Month site on facebook. All the information is available at All People Quilt.

    Happy Quilting!

    Welcome to my Creative World!

    Lori Miller Designs Head shot

I am Lori Miller and this is the official launch of my creative blog.  I finally decided to take the plunge and start to get something out here even though it is not perfect yet.  I have enjoyed sewing for as long as I can remember.  I have been sewing fun little gifts for family, friends and myself.  I took up quilting about 10 years ago, but I really like to make smaller quilted items to get a quicker sense of accomplishment.

I have started making some of my goodies for my shop, Lori Miller Designs, and I thought this blog would be a fun way to document some of my stitching adventures and share the things I love.

I figure this will be a work in progress as I read WordPress for Dummies and check other how to manuals for my blog from the library.  Oh how I love the library!  So much goodness all in one place.  And of course, read all of the goodies on the internet.

Welcome and stay tuned on my blog, definitely a work in progress.
